Rootsweb Staff Answer about a Search Engine being down:
QUOTE
Basically what happens with Seeker is that people keep building more, and
bigger, Web pages and Seeker runs out of memory indexing them. We patch it
up from time to time, and at present it is running with a limited amount of
data.
We plan to replace Seeker permanently but I can't give you a timeframe for a
permanent fix.

Full academic citations are not necessary for the average genealogy hobbyist, but it is prudent to make enough notations so you can return to the sources to check and to compare new information, and can direct others to it.
I do object to, and disagree with, suggesting any requirement for personal
sourcing other than an email address. By this I mean including postal or
street addresses, telephone numbers, etc. This is absolutely not a requirement
for formal academic sourcing.
